About L Nutter
Larry has over 35 years of experience working with information technology and business process improvement in a variety of industries and environments including retail and franchise operations, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, and manufacturing.
At Clearlight, Larry provides fractional/virtual CIO services to companies that need leadership and direction defining and implementing their technology, AI, and cybersecurity strategy, but don’t have the budget for a full-time IT executive.
His love of all things music brought him to the School of Rock in Geneva, IL as the General Manager where he provided an exceptional music education experience for students, parents, and staff. He also directed school marketing and booking for Geneva’s House Band tour which included gigs at iconic venues like Chicago House of Blues and the Main Stage at Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
Before School of Rock, Larry spent a decade selling IT solutions at Apple, Inc., and provided federal government presales engineering at technology solutions giant CDW. His IT career started at The Chicago Tribune where his team was one of the first to use digital typesetting to produce a major metropolitan newspaper. After the Tribune, he leveraged IT to streamline business operations for consumer packaged goods giants Tetra Pak Inc, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., Equal Sweetener, and eventually as CIO at Evans Food Group out of Chicago.
Larry holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
